From the beginning of their studies, students in this degree program have the opportunity to participate in and conduct studies in laboratory settings (Psychology Laboratory – LAPSO) and in the field, learning about the latest paradigms and research techniques in Psychology. Furthermore, students also have the opportunity to engage with different areas of application of psychology, notably through a supervised internship component.
The Psychology degree at Iscte was designed with the European Diploma in Psychology (Europsy) as a reference, a document resulting from the work of psychologists from all over Europe who, since the 1990s, have been debating the specific needs of training in Psychology. By functioning as a standard, Europsy broadens the recognition of basic training in Psychology at the European Union level.
