Introduction to the Study of Law
At the end of the Course, Students should be able to solve cases on their own on the subjects covered by the program

Students can complete this course through continuous assessment throughout the semester or by final exam. Continuous assessment includes two tests (each accounting for 50% of the final grade). Students pass if they achieve a minimum grade of at least 9.5 out of 20 in each assessment component (and, therefore, a final average of 9.5 or higher). Assessment by final exam is conducted through an individual written exam (100%).

Cyberspace and Artificial Intelligence Law
This UC aims to introduce the future graduate to the relevance of the principles and rules that govern the use of TIPC, their meaning as an expression of the values that companies, markets and technological progress itself must accommodate, with a view to promoting the absorption of knowledge and encourage critical perspectives, seeking to reconcile theory and practice, supported by the analysis and discussion of case studies.
Program1. General Theory of Information Security: vectors, pillars and principles;
2. General principles: Constitution, charters and soft law;
3. Links to national and European legislation and international standards of good practice;
4. Criminal motivation;
5. Computer-related crime: the modus operandi and jargon of the professional community;
6. Identification and technical, technological and legal classification of high-tech crimes;
7. The importance of open source research: screening and vetting as part of the audit;
8. Introduction to good international auditing and corporate social responsibility practices;
9. Connection to legal reality:
i. cybersecurity laws;
ii. privacy laws;
iii. cybercrime laws;
iv. securities laws.
The students can complete the UC through evaluation throughout the semester or evaluation by final exam.
The evaluation throughout the semester includes a written assignment with oral presentation (40% of the final evaluation) and a test at the end of the semester (60% of the final evaluation). Students who have minimum grade in each assessment element of at least 9.5 values (and therefore, final average equal to or greater than 9.5 values) are approved.
The evaluation by final examination is performed by individual written examination (100%).

Through Part I of the program, the objectives of explaining to students the meaning and scope of the administrative function and the indispensable character of Public Administration in its pursuit are fulfilled. Part II of the programme aims to teach students the main features of the legal-constitutional regime of the Portuguese Public Administration, in particular the constitutional principles that frame it. In the third part, it is intended that students obtain more practical knowledge, knowing how to apply the general principles and rules relating to the different phases of the general administrative procedure. In the last part, it is intended that students master the knowledge related to one of the main expressions of administrative activity: the administrative regulation.
Evaluation processLectures introduce the subject offering an integrative and comprehensive view that allows students to acquire knowledge in the subjects taught and apply them critically. Following these more theoretical presentations, practical cases will be discussed, based mainly on the Jurisprudence of the Administrative Courts. Teaching, of a theoretical-practical nature, aims to transmit information, help the student to analyse it critically and to apply it to the resolution of practical issues close to those that he will solve when he graduates. In the interval between classes, students will carry out exercises to apply the knowledge acquired and will study legislative texts (in particular the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic and the Code of Administrative Procedure), doctrinal and jurisprudential, which allow them to complete the contents taught, through autonomous study activity.

Administrative Law II
The teaching methods adopted (theoretical expositions and resolution of practical cases with students) will allow students to acquire the knowledge essential to the resolution of concrete situations of application of current Portuguese Law in matters of administrative litigation and to critically evaluate the rules and principles that regulate the administrative process. The teaching methods, by developing critical thinking and a taste for acquiring knowledge in the area of Administrative Law, will allow the student to develop indispensable skills for the future exercise of their profession, such as filing an action in Administrative and Tax Courts or knowing how to appeal the sentences handed down by them.

Lectures introduce the subject, offering an integrative and comprehensive view that allows students to acquire knowledge in the subjects taught and analyse them critically. Following this more theoretical exposition, practical cases will be discussed, based on Jurisprudence or the activity of administrative bodies. Teaching, of a theoretical-practical nature, aims to transmit information, help the students to analyse it critically and to apply it to the resolution of practical questions similar to those that he will have to solve once he has graduated. In the time between classes, students are invited to carry out exercises to apply the knowledge acquired and to read legislative, doctrinal and jurisprudential texts, which will allow them to complete the contents taught in class through an autonomous study activity.

Collective Labor Relations Law
1.Know and understand the fundamental collective principles and rights (union freedom, collective autonomy and collective self-protection). 2. Anti Discrimination Law
This UC provides students with knowledge to master the regulatory framework of national and European anti-discrimination law. It aims to stimulate critical thinking and a rigorous knowledge of essential concepts. The study is not limited to national legislation, also adopting a perspective of International Human Rights Law, the European Union and Comparative Law, allowing an integrated view of norms, doctrine and jurisprudence. It seeks to sensitize students to the articulation between national legislation and supranational sources, resolving normative conflicts in a multilevel system. The course studies and problematizes topics often addressed in a dispersed manner in national doctrine. The diversity of situations treated reinforces the interest and practical usefulness for future professionals from various areas of law.

At the end of this learning unit's term, the student must be able:
1. To explain the concept of time value of money, discounting and compounding and to be able to compare cash flows with different timetables;
2. To compute cash flows from applications and financing operations;
3. To characterize the organization of the main financial markets;
4. To compute currency and interest rate operations;
5. To describe the concept of business profitability and to compute and analyze the more relevant profitability ratios linking profitability with the firm's capital structure;
6. To analyze the financial condition of a firm and to compute and analyze the more relevant financial ratios;
7. To describe and compute de concept of working capital and to link it with the firm's financial condition;
8. To describe and compute the concept of cash flow in capital investment valuation;
9. To describe and compute the main valuation criteria used in capital investment analysis.

Assessment throughout the Semester:
There is no mandatory attendance.
There are 2 Tests:
1. Intermediate Test - worth 40% of the final grade, in person, and with no minimum grade. It covers points I and II of the Syllabus.
2. Final Test - worth 60% of the final grade, in person (at the same time as the First Period Exam), and with no minimum grade. It covers points III and IV of the Syllabus.
For the Intermediate Test and the Final Test, prior registration may be mandatory.
Assessment by exam:
Both the First Period and the Second Period Exams are each worth 100% of the final grade and are performed in person. Each one covers all the points on the Syllabus.

Upon successfully completion of this Curricular Unit, the student should be able to:
OA1. Discuss the conceptual pluralism in personality studies and describe common assumptions.
OA2. Understand how different research methods have contributed to the study of personality.
OA3. Describe and contrast the main scientific theories in the study of personality in terms of their main objectives, concepts, assumptions, methods and assessment instruments.
OA4. Describe some of the factors that may contribute to the development and change in human personality over the life course and explain the complex person-social environment interaction in predicting behavior.

CP4. Importance of studying personality in areas of Social Service.
Students can complete the course through assessment throughout the semester or assessment by exam.
Assessment throughout the semester includes individual and asynchronous participation in a discussion forum on the moodle platform throughout the semester (30%), group work on CP 3 (30%), and an individual oral/written test (40%). The group work will have a written component (15%) and an asynchronous oral component (15%). Students with a final average of 9.5 or more will be approved.
Assessment by exam is carried out through an individual written exam (100%). Students who obtain a final mark of at least 9.5 will be approved.

At the end of the Course, Students should be able to solve cases on their own on the subjects covered by the program

3.1. The establishment of obligations: unilateral legal transactions and contracts. The promissory contract, the pre-emption pact, the contract in favour of a third party and the contract for a person to be appointed.
3.2. The fulfilment of obligations.
3.3. The breach of obligations.
3.4. Defective fulfilment.
3.5. Change of circumstances.
3.6. The transfer of obligations.
3.7. The termination of obligations other than the fulfilment;
4. Benevolent intervention in another's affairs;
5. Unjustified enrichment;
6. Civil liability
The students can complete the UC through evaluation throughout the semester or evaluation by final exam.
The evaluation throughout the semester includes a written assignment with oral presentation (40% of the final evaluation) and a test at the end of the semester (60% of the final evaluation). The theoretical-practical classes are conducted by the Professor, with full openness to comments and questions from students, fostering a participatory and dynamic environment. These classes combine interactive theoretical lectures aimed at presenting concepts with discussions of case studies and practical simulations. In addition to the in-person support provided by the Professor during and outside class hours, students have access to carefully selected materials and recommended texts to deepen their understanding of the subject matter.

In order to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge about the law that applies to things in the Portuguese legal system, it is important to use teaching and learning methods that combine the theoretical presentation of content with the use of active teaching, analysis and practice practices. resolution of case studies, practical exercises and analysis of jurisprudence that will allow students to learn, understand, think and apply theoretical knowledge to daily practical situations and solve specific legal problems. Final considerations
Students can complete this course through continuous assessment throughout the semester or by final exam. Continuous assessment includes two tests (each accounting for 50% of the final grade). Students pass if they achieve a minimum grade of at least 9.5 out of 20 in each assessment component (and, therefore, a final average of 9.5 or higher). Assessment by final exam is conducted through an individual written exam (100%).

Students who have minimum grade in each assessment element of at least 9.5 values (and therefore, final average equal to or greater than 9.5 values) are approved.
The evaluation by final examination is performed by individual written examination (100%).

The process of assessment in this curricular unit covers the following methods:

The assessment method mentioned in 1) includes a Teamwork (with a weighing of 40% in the final grade) and a Final Test (with a weighing of 60% in the final grade). The minimum mark in each of the mentioned assessment elements is 7.5 points (in a 20 points sclae).
The "Assessment by exam" occurs exclusively during the assessment period, throughout a written test, and covers all the material taught in the curricular unit.

Pass requirements: A minimum score of 8.5 out of 20 in 1) is required for passing, with a minimum final average score of 9.5 out of 20 for 1), 2), and 3).
Final exam: counts for 100% of the final grade. The scores from assessment throughout the semester are not considered in the final exam.

Developmental Psychology of Child and Adolescent
At the end of this course, the student should be able to:
LO1. Characterize the specificity of developmental psychology, within the scope of psychology, in terms of its objectives and research methods.
LO2. Describe and explain the central issues and concepts of development, and the major theories focusing on child/adolescent development.
LO3. Identify and explain the main tasks and milestones of socio-emotional to cognitive development, and their interconnections, from infancy to adolescence.
LO4. Apply the knowledge gained to the analysis and discussion of current themes and issues in the lives of children and adolescents.

In the first case, students should do two individual written tests (50% each). Students must have a grade equal or higher than 8.5 on each evaluation component, and a final average equal or higher than 9.5 to successfully complete this CU. Students that choose this type of evaluation (grade = or > 8.5 - 1st test) must remain on it till the end (do the 2nd written. test).
In the second case (exam), students should do an individual written exam (100%). Students with a grade equal or higher than 9.5 are approved.

The theoretical-practical exhibition of the subject taught, the study done autonomously by the students and the joint resolution, in class or online of practical exercises on the main content taught must allow students, throughout the semester and at the end of this:
- be aware of different plans, processes and techniques of regulation of transnational situations;
- interpret situations of IPD;
- have general notions, know guiding principles, and have knowledge of the institutes and methods relevant to the determination and application of conflict rules;

1.General theory of conflicts: conflict method, immediate application rules, material rules of PID, qualification, conflicts of systems, remission for complex systems, fraud to the law in IPD, international law enforcement, application of foreign substantive law.
2.Frong disputes-major solutions of the special party: state and capacity of natural persons; family relations; legal persons; contractual and non-contractual obligations, rights in rem; successions by death; law applicable to the fund of the case in international arbitration.
V. International Competence and Recognition of Foreign Judgments: general theory and fundamental aspects; recognition of foreign arbitral awards.
The teaching methodology will undergo a complementarity between the theoretical, practical and tutorial guidance classes.
Classes will be dialogued, proposing to students to reflect on the texts of authors who made a significant contribution to the development of the PD, as well as relevant jurisprudential decisions and some practical cases. Specific texts will also be provided by the teacher, as well as Power Points with the summary of the subject as well as taught. In the interval between classes, students are invited to carry out exercises to apply the knowledge acquired and to read legislative, doctrinal, jurisprudential texts, which allow them to complete the contents taught in class through autonomous study activity.

European Funds Law
To provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge about the law that affects European funds in a governance system at various levels (European and national), it is important to use teaching and learning methods that combine the theoretical exposition of content with the use of active teaching practices, analysis, and resolution of case studies and practical exercises that will allow students to learn, understand, and apply theoretical knowledge to daily practical situations and solve concrete legal problems. d) Learning control – group oral presentation of the UC syllabus after taught by the teacher (5% of the final grade)
Access to the written test requires an average of 9.5 or more in the set of assessment instruments carried out in groups and approval in the UC requires a classification equal to or greater than 7.5 in the written test.
