O estudo realizado no âmbito desta dissertação de mestrado centra-se na análise do direito por parte do trabalhador à oposição ou à justa causa de resolução do contrato, na sequência da transmissão da unidade económica. Este estudo visa compreender como se tem processado o exercício ao direito de oposição em Portugal. Para o efeito, será importante caracterizar o conceito de transmissão da unidade económica e analisar as consequências do reconhecimento ao trabalhador de um direito de oposição à transmissão do contrato, o qual foi concretizado pela mais recente entrada em vigor da Lei nº 14/2018, de 19 de Março.

The study conducted within the scope of this Master´s dissertation focuses on the analysis of the right by the worker to the opposition or the just cause of termination of the contract, as a consequence of the transfer of the economic unit. This study aims to understand how the exercise of this right of opposition has been carried out in Portugal. For this purpose, it will be important to characterize the concept of economic unit transmission and to analyze the consequences of the recognition to the worker of a right of opposition to the transmission of the contract, which was fulfilled by the most recent entry into force of Law 14/2018, of March 19.
