A temática da qualidade em instituições de ensino superior tem vindo a ganhar força e relevância nos debates protagonizados pelos agentes educativos, pelas entidades governamentais e pela sociedade em geral. Nos últimos tempos, têm havido muitos debates sobre a qualidade do ensino ministrado nas Instituições de Ensino Superiores Cabo-Verdianas. O objetivo desta dissertação, é analisar a qualidade do Ensino Superior em Cabo Verde, onde optámos pelo estudo de caso, da Universidade do Mindelo como objeto empírico para esta investigação. Socorrendo-se do modelo de qualidade EQUIS, avaliámos a gestão e a oferta educativa da universidade com base em fontes secundárias e entrevistas. O estudo permitiu-nos perceber que a Universidade do Mindelo cumpre parcialmente os requisitos da maior parte das dimensões do modelo EQUIS. Em suma, podemos afirmar que a Universidade do Mindelo tem ainda um caminho a percorrer para se tornar uma instituição de ensino superior de excelência

The thematic of quality in higher education institutions has been gaining strength and relevance in the debates taken up by the educators, by the governmental entity and the society in general. In recent times, there have been many debates about the quality of education in the Higher Cape Verde an Education Institutions. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the quality of higher education in Cape Verde, and we opted for the case study at the University of Mindelo as empirical object to this investigation. With the support of the EQUIS quality model, we evaluated the management and the educational offer of the university with bases on secondary sources and interviews. The study allowed us to understand that the University of Mindelo partially meets the requirements of most dimensions of EQUIS model. In short, we can say that the University of Mindelo still has a way to go to become a higher education institution of excellence
