A presente dissertação teve como base de análise o conteúdo dos três principais jornais desportivos de Portugal — Record, A Bola e O Jogo. O estudo decorreu na passada temporada 2021/2022 e o período analisado foi entre dia 1 de agosto e 22 de maio. O principal objetivo desta dissertação foi observar quais os índices de favorabilidade, neutralidade e desfavorecimento com que os três jornais escreveram sobre os três grandes clubes de Portugal — Sporting CP, SL Benfica e FC Porto. Foram realizadas análises quantitativas e qualitativas a 994 capas, 2519 notícias sobre o Sporting CP e 3463 artigos de opinião. Como resultados finais verificou-se que o Sporting CP foi clube com mais capas no Record, o SL Benfica em A Bola e o FC Porto em O Jogo. Quanto às notícias sobre o Sporting CP, Record foi o jornal que deu mais tempo de antena ao clube e o jornalista Bruno Fernandes, membro deste jornal, foi quem mais notícias escreveu. Concluiu-se que o futebol masculino sénior foi o tema mais escolhido para publicar tanto nas capas como nos artigos de opinião. No Record e em A Bola, o SL Benfica foi o clube com mais referências e em O Jogo, o mais mencionado foi o FC Porto. Contudo, o Sporting CP obteve o registo de maior tendência positiva nos jornais Record e A Bola, e o FC Porto em O Jogo. Já o SL Benfica, registou a tendência negativa mais elevada nas crónicas de todos os jornais desportivos.

This dissertation was based on the content analysis of the three main sports newspapers in Portugal - Record, A Bola and O Jogo. The study was carried out during the last 2021/2022 season and the analyzed period was between August 1st and May 22nd. The main objective of this dissertation was to observe which indices of favorability, neutrality and disfavorability the three newspapers wrote about the three big clubs in Portugal - Sporting CP, SL Benfica and FC Porto. Quantitative and qualitative analyses were performed on 994 covers, 2519 news articles about Sporting CP and 3463 opinion articles. As final results was verified that Sporting CP was the club with more covers in Record, SL Benfica in A Bola and FC Porto in O Jogo. As for news about Sporting CP, Record was the newspaper that gave the most airtime to the club and the journalist Bruno Fernandes, a member of the same newspaper, was the one who wrote more news. It was concluded that men's senior football was the number one topic to be published, both on the covers and in opinion articles. In Record and A Bola, SL Benfica was the club with the most references and in O Jogo, the most mentioned was FC Porto. However, Sporting CP had the most positive trend in Record and A Bola, and FC Porto in O Jogo. SL Benfica, on the other hand, registered the highest negative trend in the chronicles of all sports newspapers.
