Iscte-Knowledge and Innovation invites researchers interested in applying for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie PostDoctoral Fellowships 2025 (HORIZON-MSCA-2025-PF-01-01) to submit their expression of interest by 13 July 2025.
Applications are welcome from researchers with outstanding academic track records in the following fields: Social Sciences and Humanities, Management and Economics, Public Policy, Psychology, Sociology, International Studies, Anthropology, Information and Communication Technologies, as well as in cross-cutting areas such as Digital Design, Mixed Realities, Data Science, Engineering, Construction and Architecture.
Researchers submitting their MSCA application with Iscte-Knowledge and Innovation as their host institution may also benefit from additional funding under the European Commission’s WIDENING programme – ERA Fellowships, which promotes the mobility of researchers of any nationality to institutions located in countries under the Horizon Europe programme, such as Portugal.
Applicants who do not secure direct funding through the MSCA programme may still be considered for funding via the ERA Fellowships without having to reapply.
Eligibility criteria:
- PhD awarded within the last 8 years;
- Have not resided or carried out the main research activity in Portugal for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to 10 September 2025;
- Candidates who applied for the 2024 MSCA call and received a score below 70% are not eligible for the 2025 edition.
The deadline for submitting official applications to the European Commission is 10 September 2025.
Expressions of interest should be sent by email to gai@iscte-iul.pt, with the subject: “MSCA-PF-2025: [Candidate’s name] – Expression of interest”.
Required documents:
- Summary of the work plan with defined objectives (max. 500 words);
- Scientific area;
- Curriculum vitae (last 5 years);
- Identification of one or more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) addressed in the proposal;
- Indication of preference for one of Iscte’s Research Units.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the evaluation process within 10 working days.
Iscte, through its Research Support Office and associated Research Unit, will provide support throughout the application process and ensure all necessary institutional documentation is made available.
