Integration and Success (IN-Iscte)

Welcome to Iscte!

We know that entering Higher Education is a stage of many changes, and therefore, we are here to support you.

The project IN-Iscte intends to welcome and integrate new students, promote academic success, and create conditions to reduce school dropout rates through practices of pedagogical innovation, the promotion of attitudes of sharing, communication, and monitoring, and the reinforcement of self-learning and collaborative work skills.

Iscte receives 1,300 to 1,400 new undergraduate students every year. To these are added a few hundred who are applying for master's and doctoral degrees. Everyone begins a decisive stage in their lives, full of challenges, at a Higher Education institution they may never have attended.

IN-Iscte welcomes you.

IN-Iscte – A Space to Grow.

In the Student Space, comprehensive, inclusive and personalised support is offered to students, reinforcing their sense of belonging to the academic community of Iscte.

This initiative aims to support the reception and integration of students in the 1st year of Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate studies by assigning a mentor who is in an intermediate or final year of any of the study cycles.

This mentor will help facilitate navigation in Higher Education and at Iscte for students who have recently arrived at the institution and/or university life.

The program aims to be one of the answers to the challenges of welcoming and integrating an increasingly diverse student body, in a context of intensification of the dematerialisation of relationships through the use of digital tools and technologies.
