The master’s in informatics and management (MIG) offers specialized theoretical and practical training in the fields of digital transformation technologies, approached in an integrated manner from both organizational and technological perspectives.
The program is built upon a solid foundation of knowledge about how organizations operate, recognizing that the rapid pace of technological advancement and constant innovation in business models require not only the continuous adaptation of curricula in the field of Informatics, but also the ability to anticipate and influence such changes. In this context, it is essential to engage faculty and students who are aligned with the course’s vision and pedagogical design, which is grounded in Iscte’s areas of excellent, Management Sciences and Information Sciences and Technologies.
The MIG stands out for its versatile training approach and an innovative and distinctive curriculum, both within Iscte and when compared to the offerings of other institutions. The program places special emphasis on digital transition topics, the management of high-tech projects, information systems and software designed to support decision-making and optimize resources and processes, the application of artificial intelligence in business process reengineering and the redefinition of business models, as well as the promotion of competitiveness in organizations focused on the digital economy.
The curriculum structure includes nine mandatory courses designed to ensure consolidation and balance of knowledge among students with diverse academic backgrounds. In addition, elective courses are offered across three thematic areas, which students can choose based on their academic and professional profiles, thereby ensuring an effective alignment of the skills developed throughout the program.
