In 2009, he was awarded a Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation fellowship for post-doctoral studies at the University of Memphis (TN, USA). His academic journey includes visiting scholar collaborations at several international institutions, such as the University of Memphis (TN, USA), University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (Chengdu, China), Häme University of Applied Sciences (Hämeenlinna, Finland), Tallinn University of Technology (Tallinn, Estonia), Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (CHIH, Mexico), University of Kaiserslautern (Germany), and Central College of Commerce (Scotland). Currently, he serves as Full Professor of Strategy and Decision Analysis at ISCTE Business School, University Institute of Lisbon (Portugal), where he coordinates the PhD program specialization in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and directs the Executive Master in Management (for non-Business Administration graduates). Additionally, he holds the position of Adjunct Research Professor at the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis (TN, USA). Fernando has authored books, book chapters, +180 peer-reviewed papers, and has made +200 conference presentations. He has also delivered keynote and invited speeches at conferences worldwide, including in Albania, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, Spain and South Korea. His work has been published in leading international journals, including the European Journal of Operational Research (ABS 4), Annals of Operations Research (ABS 3), Energy Economics (ABS 3), IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management (ABS 3), Journal of Business Research (ABS 3), Journal of Small Business Management (ABS 3), Journal of the Operational Research Society (ABS 3), R&D Management (ABS 3), Technological Forecasting & Social Change (ABS 3), and Technovation (ABS 3). He also serves as Associate Editor and/or Editorial Board Member for several international journals. In terms of practical experience, Fernando is a Senior Manager at Montis West Corporation (TN, USA) and has +25 years of experience as a group facilitator. He has provided consultancy services and/or executive education to both private and public-sector organizations. Some of the notable entities he has collaborated with include Caixa Geral de Depósitos (Portuguese state-owned banking corporation), Fidelidade Insurance Company (market leader in Portugal), Infraestruturas de Portugal (Portugal’s rail and road infrastructure manager), Metropolitano de Lisboa (state-owned metro company), Amplexor/Acolad (global leader in digital services), and PERI Brazil (one of the largest providers of formwork and scaffolding solutions in Latin America). He has also served as evaluator for numerous international projects funded by both European and non-European research bodies, including the Dutch Research Council (NWO) in the Netherlands, the National Science Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of Poland, the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, and the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID) under the Government of Chile. His primary research interests include multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA), strategic decision-making, and integrated systems for performance measurement, with a particular focus on the banking and real estate sectors.
Leadership and Management of People
PhD in Management, specialized in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior, by ISCTE-IUL. She is Associate Professor at the Department of Human Resources and Organizational Behavior at ISCTE Business School. She is Director of the LIA Iscte - Laboratory for Innovation in Academia. She is Director of the Executive Master in Healthcare Services Management. She is Director of the Executive Master in Strategic People Management and Leadership, of the Executive Master in Healthcare Services Management and of the Post-Graduation at ISCTE Executive Education. The main areas of research are healthcare management and strategic people management. She has been a member of boards of directors (or advisor) and has extensive consulting experience in Strategic People Management, Healthcare Services Management and Organizational Change in multiple organizations, private, public and social economy, across different business sectors.
Performance Financial Assessment
ILÍDIO TOMÁS LOPES He was born on January 18, 1966, in the municipality of Abrantes. He is currently an Assistant Professor With Habilitation at “Iscte Instituto Universitário de Lisboa” and an associate member of the “Bru_iscte Business Research Unit” at the same institution. He is also a lecturer on the Executive Master's Degree in Business Management at Iscte_Executive Education. Lecturer on the postgraduate course in Economics and Regulation of Financial Institutions at IPPS_ISCTE. Currently: Director of “Audax_iscte”; Member of the Supervisory Board of Novartis Farma - Produtos Farmacêuticos, SA. Chairman of the Supervisory Board of “Associação Iscte Conhecimento e Inovação” and Member of the Supervisory Board of OROC - Ordem dos Revisores Oficiais de Contas. He is also an advisor to the Opinion Council of RTP - Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, SA, on economic and financial matters. He was a Non-Executive Director, Member of the Audit Committee and Member of the Corporate Governance Committee of Banco BIC Português, S.A. (EuroBic). He holds a PhD in Business Management, specializing in Accounting (University of Coimbra, 2009), a Master's degree in Statistics and Information Management (ISEGI, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, 2001) and a degree in Business Organization and Management (ISEG, University of Lisbon, 1990). A lecturer in higher education since 1994, he was a lecturer at the School of Management and Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém (1997 to 2013), and in recent years has held the position of director of that institution. He was also a collaborative lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (2006 to 2011). He is currently responsible for several curricular units, including: Auditing; Financial Auditing; Financial Performance Assessment; Financial Accounting II; Banking Accounting. He has also held management positions in several multinational companies. Author of several scientific publications, member of various national and international scientific committees and reviewer of articles for scientific journals in the areas of Management and Accounting. Data Analysis for Business
José Dias Curto is full professor at Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL Business School, Quantitative Methods Departament) and investigator at Business Research Unit (BRU-IUL), Lisboa, Portugal. He earned his PhD in Quantitative Methods for Management from the Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL), MA in Management from Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL) and Bachellor's degree in Economics from Instituto Superior de Economia, Portugal. His primary research focuses statistics and econometrics with applications to finance, accounting and economics. He has authored 3 books and published several articles in top journals, including FT-50 journals - an article in the Harvard Business Review and a Digital Article in the MIT Sloan Management Review.  His main areas of interest are General Management, Stakeholders' Management and Negotiation, and Corporate Governance. Pedro has significant management experience, holding positions in various corporate bodies of large companies, as well as academic management positions. Pedro has high teaching experience at various levels of education, with very good performance evaluations.
