The Undergraduate Degree in International Studies provides an innovative and interdisciplinary education, integrating international relations, political science, history, economy, law, and sociology with applied thematic areas such as energy, cybersecurity, migrations, sustainability and social movements, thus enabling students to critically analyze the main contemporary global dynamics. The degree will be taught entirely in English and offers elective units and specializations that allow for the customization of the academic record. Students can also specialize in regions such as Europe, Africa, MENA, Asia, and Latin America. The course prepares professionals to work in international contexts, in the public and private sectors, as well as for the 2nd and 3rd cycle studies in International Studies or related fields.
The close association from the Undergraduate Degree with the Iscte Cente for International Studies (CEI-Iscte) strengthens the connection between teaching and practice. Through participation in applied research projects, contact with renowned specialists, and participation in conferences, workshops, and scientific events, students will have access to an excellent academic environment that complements and enhances their educational path.
Students will also be encouraged to take advantage of the more than 90 agreements that the Iscte School of Sociology and Public Policy maintains with higher education institutions worldwide, allowing them to undertake periods of international mobility under the Erasmus program.
