Information for students in mobility
I am very pleased to announce the introduction of a dual degree between the MEI and the Master's in Informatique Systémes Intelligents et Applications at the Eiffel University in Paris for the 2022/2023 academic year. This agreement allows MEI students to obtain a double degree if they complete a semester at the Eiffel University in Paris. After completing the semester abroad, they will have a diploma of both degrees (which are equivalent) at the end of the course. All courses at Eiffel University will be taken in person.
The exchange is scheduled to begin during the fall semester (Sep-Jan) of the 2022/2023 academic year, and MEI students will have the opportunity to take the following Masters en Informatique Systémes Intelligents et Applications courses:
Distributed Computing, 3 ECTS
Network Modeling and Simulation, 3 ECTS
Smart Systems Modeling, 3 ECTS
Management in Smart Systems, 3 ECTS
Communication and Project Management 1, 2 ECTS
Decision making and analysis, 2 ECTS
Multi-Agent Systems and Applications, 3 ECTS
Distributed Programming and Web Services, 3 ECTS
French, 3 ECTS
These subjects are taught in English and will be counted as elective subjects for the MEI, replacing the 3 elective subjects (18 ECTS minimum) that students have to take in the fall semester of their 2nd year.
If students choose dissertation topics offered by professors from both Universities (which will be determined next year), they will be accompanied in the initial phase of the thesis by a co-supervisor from Uni Eiffel (and by the co-supervisor of Iscte). Otherwise, they will be accompanied by an Iscte advisor via Zoom for the first 12 credits of the dissertation (during their first semester).
Students will have to apply for Erasmus program funding to ensure financial support. Learn more about this process here. Students must submit their applications as soon as possible and inform the director of the degree program of their intention to pursue the dual degree. Availability for this program is limited, and there will be a selection process in June and July.
