Iscte's quality strategy has aimed to consolidate an institutional culture of quality and self-responsibility based on regular evaluation, self-regulation, and subsequent monitoring of the improvements resulting from the evaluation. Over the years, Iscte has undergone various national and international external evaluation/accreditation exercises. These evaluation exercises take place at different levels: institutional; the quality management system (SIGQ Iscte); and the study cycles.
Iscte participates in the most prestigious international rankings. Rankings – or similar instruments – can be important tools for communication, benchmarking and best practices research. With that in mind, Iscte also takes part in more specific rankings in the field of sustainability and in the European Benchmarking Tool for Higher Education Institutions (EHESO).
