Withdrawal is not equivalent to ceasing to attend classes. It is a significant academic action that requires formalization.

According to the Tuition Fee Regulations, each enrollment generates tuition costs (as well as interest on those costs, in the case of default) for which the student is the debtor.

The discharge of this payment can only occur through a formal withdrawal request, which has to be accepted and fulfill the terms duly articulated in the terms of the Tuition Fee Regulations, under the penalty of cancellation of the request.

Once the withdrawal request and its terms are completed, in the following academic year, a student who intends to continue in the same programme may resume their studies if they complete re-enrollment.

PAYMENT OF TUITION

According to the Tuition Fee Regulations, until the end of the first semester, the payment of all fees that are due must occur before the date of the withdrawal request, including the fee corresponding to the month in which the request is made. Withdrawal requests made after the end of the first semester require the payment of the entire tuition.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT STATUTE

According to the International Student Tuition Regulation, the value of the tuition of each academic year of the student’s program should be paid at one time, upon the act of registration/enrollment.

IN SUM

A request for withdrawal from registration/enrollment has to be formalized with Academic Services. Without this request and the fulfillment of the terms outlined for such a request, the student remains the debtor of their tuition and its respective interest.
