O presente trabalho, subordinado ao tema A Emergência de uma Cultura de Partilha na Sociedade em Rede, sustenta que o atual contexto dito de sociedade em rede e de globalização é promotor de uma alteração estrutural do paradigma da cultura através da emergência de uma cultura de partilha. Defende-se ainda que a emergência de uma cultura de partilha é, aliás, fundamental para o aprofundamento da sociedade em rede. A perspetiva desenvolvida tem subjacente a ideia de que partilha é uma prática ancestral da humanidade, diferente de dádiva e de troca embora, dada a natureza subjetiva dos conceitos, seja difícil proceder a uma delimitação rigorosa e com frequência haja zonas de interseção. A dissertação apresentada tem por base um estudo de caso no Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga (MNAA), a partir da análise das práticas do museu agregadas em quatro eixos – programação, comunicação, património e relações em rede - concluindo que a partilha se encontra presente no MNAA de forma transversal.

The present work, entitled The Emergence of a Culture of Sharing in the Network Society argues that today´s context of a network society and globalization is promoting a structural change in the cultural paradigm through the emergence of a culture of sharing. It points out that the emergence of a culture of sharing is indeed essential for the further development of a network society. The perspective developed in this work is underpinned by the idea that sharing is an ancient practice of mankind, though different from gift and exchange. However, given the subjective nature of the concepts, it is difficult to make a precise delimitation and often there are intersection zones. The thesis presented is based on a case study at Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga (MNAA). The analysis of the museum practices, aggregated into four axes - programming, communication, heritage and network relations - concludes that sharing is transversely present in MNAA.
