O propósito desta dissertação é destacar a linha ténue que separa a subjetividade e a objetividade na crítica e percecionar os pontos de vista daqueles que se dedicam a produzir crítica musical, contextualizando-os no movimento da música alternativa, baluarte de diversidade, individualidade, influências múltiplas e globalização. Perceber como os especialistas percecionam arte, nomeadamente a música, como essa impressão se traduz em palavra escrita e como é expedida para quem lê, como comunicam a sua opinião e quais as preocupações ao fazê-lo. Aprofundar o entendimento da arte de perceber a arte, e o processo deste entendimento, como se processa no que toca a esta banda ou aquela. Depois do escrutínio do processo da escrita, objetiva ou subjetiva, debruçada sobre criações alheias, depois do empreendimento de tentativa de ripostar às mesmas, colocamos questões aos críticos sobre o seu trabalho. Depois de reunidas e comparadas as respostas, tornam-se óbvias as divergências, no que significa, para cada crítico, ser a sua função assim como a forma de como a exerce.

The intention of this paper is to underline the line between subjective and objective critics and to perceive the point of view of those who write music critics and where they stand in know-a-days alternative musical movements, which symbolizes diversity, individuality, multiple influences and globalization. How specialists of understanding art, namely, music, how the acquaintance is pass down to writings and how the communication is made to those who read, how they forestall their opinion and what are the concerns. The art of perceiving art, and the process of understanding and impart where a critic stands regarding these band or the other. After questioning the process of writing, objective or subjectively, about other people’s creations, and later than trying to answering, it was about time to ask the critics them self’s a several questions about the way that they do their job. After gathering all the answers, and comparing them, it’s clear that the opinions are exceedingly diverse, what it means to be a critic for one person is another thing the other.
