Com o aumento da longevidade, o envelhecimento populacional e o consequente isolamento social têm registado um crescimento significativo. Embora esse aumento reflita o sucesso nos avanços na área da medicina, também traz desafios para as estruturas na sociedade, gerando consequências físicas e mentais para os mais idosos. Neste trabalho, serão estudados os fatores que contribuem para este cenário e como a inteligência artificial pode ajudar a mitigar os efeitos no isolamento social da população mais idosa. Serão realizados estudos e entrevistas para compreender as causas do problema e identificar melhorias, a fim de desenvolver uma solução baseada em inteligência artificial. Essa solução será projetada com base nos resultados de um levantamento de requisitos realizado junto ao público-alvo, composto por pessoas com idade superior a 65 anos. Após o desenvolvimento de uma solução, esta foi apresentada a uma amostra dos entrevistados na fase inicial, e foram analisadas suas reações e opiniões sobre a tecnologia. Por fim, foram elaboradas conclusões e sugestões para trabalhos que no futuro possam trazer avanços e soluções no âmbito desta temática. Este trabalho representa uma etapa inicial de como a inovação tecnológica pode impactar positivamente este problema.

With increased longevity, population aging, and the consequent social isolation have seen significant growth. Although this rise in longevity reflects the success of advancements in the field of medicine, it also brings challenges to social structures, leading to physical and mental consequences for the elderly. This work aims to study the factors contributing to this scenario and how artificial intelligence can help mitigate the effects of social isolation among the elderly population. Studies and interviews will be conducted to understand the causes of the problem and identify potential improvements, with the goal of developing a solution based on artificial intelligence. This solution will be designed based on the results of a requirements analysis carried out with the target audience, consisting of individuals over 65 years old. After the development of the solution, it was presented to a sample of the interviewees in the initial phase, and their reactions and opinions regarding the technology and its usability in addressing the identified problem were analyzed. Finally, conclusions and suggestions were provided for future work that may bring advancements and solutions in this field. This work represents an initial step in understanding how technological innovation can positively impact this challenge.
