O trabalho encontra-se dividido em 6 jornais, que exploram as temáticas da água e da sua relação com a cidade, e o que significa habitar no século XXI, face à crescente demanda de habitação nas grandes metrópoles, num mundo no qual as relações interpessoais se estão atomizar. O trabalho é uma investigação sobre a maneira como a arquitetura pode responder a estes problemas, por um lado, através da criação de tipologias que possam aproximar as pessoas, criando um sentido de comunidade, e por outro, a investigação de um passado recente no qual a água e as suas infraestruturas, eram tratadas como uma oportunidade de desenhar cidade através da criação de espaços públicos, que perduram até hoje, sem esconder a água, ou a maneira como ela era abastecida. O projeto insere-se numa zona consolidada da cidade, e passa pela criação de espaços públicos onde a água e os Resumo Abstract sistemas naturais fazem parte do desenho desses mesmos espaços, numa visão de uma cidade contemporânea que contempla sistemas complexos, que possibilitam a existência dela mesma e dos seus habitantes, assumindo- os e tentando elevá-los ao plano do belo. O intuito seria levar, uma vez mais, estes temas a desenhar a cidade. Outras problemáticas como o quarteirão, enquanto unidade urbana, que pode ser habitada coletivamente e regenerar o tecido urbano em que está inserida; e tipologias coletivas do habitar, com ênfase em espaços comuns, são temas fundamentais do trabalho.

The work is divided into 6 papers, which explore the themes of water and its relationship with the city, and what it means to live in the 21st century, given the growing demand for housing in large metropolises, in a world where interpersonal relationships are becoming atomized. The work is an investigation into how architecture can respond to these problems, on one hand, by creating typologies that can bring people together, creating a sense of community, and on the other, the investigation of a recent past in which water and its infrastructure were treated as an opportunity to design the city through the creation of public spaces, which continue today, without hiding the water or the way it was supplied. The project is located in a consolidated area of the city, and involves creating public spaces where water and natural systems are part of the design of these spaces, in a vision of a contemporary city that contemplates complex systems that enable it and its inhabitants to exist, and trying to elevate them to the plane of beauty. The aim would be to once again bring these themes into the design of the city. Other issues such as the block, as an urban unit that can be inhabited collectively and regenerate the urban fabric where it is inserted; and collective typologies of living, with an emphasis on common spaces, are fundamental themes for work.
