A presente investigação tem por objetivo caracterizar a simbiose entre Natureza, Arquitetura e Infraestrutura a partir do pensamento e das obras do panorama contemporâneo. Propõe-se deste modo, uma perspectiva de interpretação que considera a exortação das formas da natureza e dos seus processos como pensamento e as obras apresentadas como plasticidade deste sentido. A construção de uma estrutura ferroviária impõe à partida a transformação da forma topográfica do lugar por onde se impõe. No caso de Lisboa, a construção da ferrovia embora tire partido da condição topográfica dos vales para estabelecer um assentamento favorável para a sua circulação (de nível), pressupôs a transformação e manipulação topográfica através da criação terraplanagens e incisões no terreno para a criação dos assentamentos, por se tratar de um sistema pouco flexível e adaptável ao meio natural. Com o título (Re) Construção Arquitetônica da Natureza se expressa a aproximação entre Arquitetura e Natureza a um estado parcialmente pré-industrial, mediante a análise de edifícios que se aproximam das formas presenteadas pela natureza – como as montanhas e as cavernas. Embora o termo “reconstrução”, associado a reconstrução da natureza apareça frequentemente associado à reconstituição da sua origem, não se pretende fomentar a reprodução literal e análoga da natureza e das suas formas, pretende-se antes um retorno à essencialidade da arquitetura – a um certo primitivismo. A proposta procura “repor a massa” topográfica adulterada ao longo dos tempos entre o território consolidado (bairro industrial), com a extremidade sul do parque de Monsanto e integrando a infraestrutura da linha férrea. A intervenção é topográfica, paisagística e arquitetónica. Como ponto de partida, estabeleceu-se uma grande plataforma horizontal ocupada por jardins que ocultam e construem o novo programa. O espaço articula-se na definição dos limites entre a paisagem urbana consolidada e o confronto com o solo.

This research aims to characterize the symbiosis between Nature, Architecture and Infrastructure from the thought and the works of the contemporary panorama. Thus, it’s proposed a perspective of interpretation that considers the exhortation of the forms of nature and its processes as a thought and the examples presented as plasticity of this sense. From the outset, the construction of a railway imposes the transformation of the topographic form of the place through which it’s imposed. In Lisbon, the construction of the railway not only took advantage of the topographic condition of the valleys to establish a favorable settlement for its circulation, but also (assumed the transformation and manipulation of topography through creation of earthworks and incisions in the terrain to create settlements With the title Architectural (re) Construction of Nature, it’s expressed the approximation between Architecture and Nature to a partially pre-industrial state, through the analysis of buildings that approach the forms presented by nature – such as mountains and caves. Although the term ‘reconstruction’, associated with the reconstruction of nature, is often connected with the reconstitution of its origin, the intention is not to encourage a literal and analogous reproduction of nature and its forms, but rather a return to the essentiality of architecture - to primitivism. The proposal seeks to “restore the topographic mass” adulterated over time between the consolidated territory (industrial district), with the southern end of the of Monsanto’s Park and integrating the infrastructure of the railway. The intervention is topographic, landscape and architectural. As a starting point, a large horizontal platform was established occupied by gardens that hide and protect the new program. The space is articulated in the definition of the limits between the consolidated urban landscape and the confrontation with the ground.
