Vivemos numa sociedade em que as Universidades Portuguesas se preocupam, e muito, com as suas necessidades de negócio e, por isso, procuram possuir um SI (Sistema de Informação) rápido e de baixo custo, sujeito a acontecerem constantes mudanças do próprio. Esta procura vai ao encontro da imagem da organização em termos de fluxo de negócio e/ou administração interna, no entanto a sua receção por partes dos utilizadores, ou seja, por parte do utilizador final, nem sempre corresponde da melhor forma. O impacto que o novo SI cria na Universidade difere na receção por parte do utilizador. O SI é desenvolvido à imagem da Universidade? Sim, é. Mas será que não poderia ser desenvolvido à imagem da Universidade e também dos utilizadores? Desta forma, esta dissertação procura identificar e avaliar os impactos, quando a Universidade decide alterar o SI, tentando desta forma, melhorar as Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação – TIC tendo como objetos de estudo o ISCTE-IUL e a Universidade de Lisboa. Para este estudo, serão realizadas entrevistas e serão aplicados questionários a alguns funcionários do ISCTE-IUL e da Universidade de Lisboa para se avaliar o impacto que existiu quando se implementou recentemente o SAP ERP (Systeme, Anwendungen und Produkte Enterprise Resource Planning).

We live in a society in which the Portuguese universities are very much concerned with their business needs, and, therefore, seek to own a fast and low cost I.S. (Information System), subject to constant changes of its own. This demand goes towards the organization image in terms of business flow and/or internal administration, however its reception on the part of the users, in other words, the end user, does not always correspond in the best way possible. The impact that the new I.S. creates on the University differs in user reception. Is the I.S. developed bearing in mind the University? Yes, it is. Nevertheless, could it be developed bearing in mind not only the University, but also the users? This way, this dissertation seeks to identify and evaluate the impacts, when the University decides to change the I.S., trying to improve this way the Information and Communication Technologies – ICT, having as its subject of study the ISCTE-IUL and the University of Lisbon. For this study, interviews will be conducted and surveys will be applied to some employees of ISCTE-IUL and of the University of Lisbon to assess the impact felt since the recent implementation of the SAP ERP (Systeme, Anwendungen un Produkte Enterprise Resource Planning).
