The Portuguese Demography Association (APD) will pay tribute to Mário Leston Bandeira, its founder and former President, in an event where the book resulting from the last research project Leston Bandeira — who died in 2014 — directed will be launched. The book is named «Dinâmicas demográficas e envelhecimento da população portuguesa: 1950-2011 — evolução e perspetivas».

The initiative, by APD with Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation, ISCTE-IUL, the Social Sciences Institute and the University of Lisbon's Institute for Aging, will take place at ISCTE-IUL's J. J. Laginha Auditorium, in March 4th, beginning at 17:00.
