Work, Organizations and Technology
João Henriques is a Guest Lecturer at Iscte-IUL's Sintra School of Social and Business Sciences. He is also a PhD student, and former scholarship holder (Foundation for Science and Technology, FCT), in Sociology at Iscte-IUL. His initial academic training is in the area of ​​Civil Engineering (Bachelor and Master), and later in Sociology (Master). He is a research assistant at the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES) where he has participated in studies in various thematic areas, such as social inequalities, environment and sustainable development, social cohesion, education, employment, family and work.

Materials Science | Building Construction Systems and Processes I
Assistant Professor, sub-director of the Department of Architecture and Urbanism Iscte-IUL where he also coordinates the scientific area of Construction Technologies. Integrated researcher at ISTAR-Iscte where he coordinates the Digital Living Spaces research group. Researcher and consultant in sustainable construction and digital transformation of the construction industry, through the Building Information Modelling methodology and technologies such as photogrammetry, IoT, VR and AR.   Graduated in Civil Engineering (2000), MSc in Structural Engineering (2003) by Lisbon University (IST) and PhD in Civil Engineering (2010) by the University of Porto.

Leonor is a PhD Arch (since 2022, specialized in Digital Architecture), post-doc and Integrated Researcher at ISTAR-Iscte and Invited Professor at the Department of Applied Digital Technologies of ISCTE Sintra. Her research is focused on building sustainability assessment, energy efficiency, resilient cities, building adaptability for climate change, visual programming and digital transformation and education. She started working as an architect in Lisbon in 2017, and has recently been focused on research and education. Leonor has worked since 2022 on three Erasmus+ projects (already finished), one Horizon Europe (on-going) and one Digital Skills programme (on-going) as a team member, and worked for funding proposals.
