Accreditations
According the learning objectives, the students who complete this MSc can work in professional roles in the following areas, among others:
- Diagnoses and interventions situated in individual-contextual relations, namely in the scope of: market, publicity, and consumer behavior studes; studies of complex social phenomena such as exclusion and inter-group relations; studies about health and quality of life in communities; studies of environmental impact;
- Diagnoses and interventions in organizations, including recruitment and personnel selection; evaluation of individual or team performance; professional training; negotiation and organizational change;
- Research careers, allowing students to continue towards a doctorate in Psychology or a related subject.
According to recent statistics, since the year of 2013 the employment rate of recent graduates in Psychology through the MSc was 75% (only including those who received employement within a year of finishing this programme). In total, 97% of our graduates have obtained jobs in a sector of activity related with the study area of this Master's.
Curricular Internship
To facilitate and foster students' integration into the workforce, a curricular internship in Psychology is outlined in the structure of this master's, with a duration of 350 hours. This intership, which occurs during the second year of the master's, may be done in an institution, company, or research centre with a clear relation to the scientific area of the MSc, and under the supervision of an external advisor trained in Psychology.
The MSc encourages its students to search actively for an internship location and guides the establishement of the plan and work schedule for the internship. Furthermore, through its office of professional integration, Iscte has a set of internship sites that can facilitate the procurement and choice of this location.
