Both summer courses have been organized in partnership with UESTC - University of Electronic Science and Technology of China: fifty students and four staff members from UESTC have participated in both summer courses.

With the aim of strengthening the cooperation between Iscte and UESTC and reinforce exchange opportunities, the students from the Chinese university have been accompanied by seventeen students from Iscte-Sintra during the Summer School activities. 

Professor Maria das Dores Guerreiro, Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Professor Sérgio Moro, Dean of Iscte School of Technology and Architecture and Professor Ricardo Paes Mamede from Iscte School of Applied Digital Technologies, have welcomed students on the very first day of the course.

For two weeks, Chinese and Portuguese students participated in the course Introduction to Entrepreneurship in a Technology-Based Project and had an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, develop intercultural competences, as well as learn more about Portuguese history and culture. They have visited various places of cultural interest as: Lisbon Oceanarium, Jerónimos Monastery, the Museum of Lisbon, the Benfica Museum, Quinta de Regaleira in Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Cascais, among others.

On the other hand, in July 2025, eights students of Iscte and Mariana Rodrigues, Assistant Professor from Iscte Sintra participated in the Summer School organized by UESTC – Future AIoT.
