After the entry into force of the General Data Protection Regulation, the National Data Protection Commission issued a guideline that defines the terms for the availability of personal data of students, teachers, and other workers on the websites of higher education institutions.

The publication of student classification guidelines is based on a principle of publicity, embodied in administrative regulations, that aims to guarantee transparency and control over evaluation activity, as well as the principles of impartiality, justice, and equality between students. Also considering the principle of data minimisation enshrined in subparagraph c) of paragraph 1 of article 5 of the GDPR, and after consulting the Iscte Data Protection Officer, the Pedagogical Council decided to issue the following guidelines for the publication of classification guidelines:

1. The publication of agendas must be carried out exclusively on Fenix-mais or e-learning (Moodle), and can never be done on an open page and accessible to anyone.
2. The agendas must contain only the personal data strictly necessary to fulfil the purpose of publicising the student's evaluation, namely the name and number of each student with the corresponding evaluation.
3. Access to the agenda must be restricted to students enrolled in the respective Curricular Unit.
4. For interim evaluations, the agenda should not be available for more than 6 months. 
5. For the final assessment of the Curricular Unit, the agenda should not be available for more than 6 months. 
6. After the aforementioned periods, each student must only have access to their classifications through the Fenix-mais system.

Please note that this process is automatic in the Fenix-mais system. However, the Coordinators of each UC are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure that the files with classification guidelines made available in the e-learning system are scheduled in accordance with the specified deadlines.
