O presente projeto tem como temática a realização de um plano de negócio na área da
geriatria com todos os serviços para idosos, localizado no concelho de Coruche. Este é o
concelho com a maior percentagem de população envelhecida do distrito de Santarém, mas
onde existe uma grande carência de lares e centros de dia de forma a apoiar os idosos.
Pretende-se analisar em que medida uma empresa neste sector de atividade poderá ser viável
económica e financeiramente na área de influência do respetivo projeto.
O plano de negócio elaborado teve em consideração a análise do mercado, estratégias de
marketing, organização e recursos humanos, a definição de objetivos, criação de sistema de
gestão com base nos fatores críticos de sucesso e análise económica e financeira.
A necessidade de serviços geriátricos com boas condições é tendencialmente crescente devido
ao envelhecimento demográfico, criando no mercado uma oportunidade de negócio. A fim de
permitir o arranque do projeto será necessário um investimento inicial destinado
essencialmente a equipamento básico, administrativo, bem como a construção de uma
infraestrutura acolhedora e adaptada a todo o tipo de dificuldades motoras.

The current project aims to create a business plan in thearea of geriatrics will all the services
for the elderly located in Coruche country. This is the municipality with the highest
percentage of aged population of the district of Santarém, but where there is a shortage of
homes and day centers in order to support the elderly. The aim is to examine to what extent a
company in this sector of activity can be economically and financially viable in the respective
project area of influence.
The elaborate business plan took into account the market analysis, marketing strategies,
organization and human resources, setting objectives, management system creation based on
critical success factors as well as economic and financial analysis.
As a result of the ageing population, the need of geriatrics services with excellent care has a
tendency to grow offering a business opportunity in the market. So that the project can start, it
will be required an initial investment mainly aimed at basic and administrative equipment, as
well as, at the construction of a welcoming infrastructure and adapted to all kinds of physical
disabilities.
