Iscte attends Europe's largest Public Administration conference

David Ferraz, professor of Public Administration at Iscte, took part in the annual meeting of the European Group for Public Administration, at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), between 24 and 27 August 2026. He is a member of the EGPA Steering Committee and chair of the Permanent Study Group on Education and Training in Public Administration and Public Policies. The Iscte delegation also included Maria Asensio and five Iscte doctoral students, supported by EGPA participation grants.

EGPA is the leading European conference on Public Administration, bringing together researchers, academics, students, schools of government, public administration institutes and institutional representatives from different countries.

Iscte's presence at EGPA 2026 reinforces the institution's ties to the main international networks in Public Administration, including the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA), and the Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPAcee).

Next year, Iscte will host the Trans-European Dialogue (TED 2027), in Lisbon, reinforcing its role as a leading institution in the European debate on Public Administration, public policy, governance and state capacity building.
