Held in , from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and taught in English, this special seminar will provide students with an in-depth approach to social work practice using the harm reduction model.  Students will consider harm reduction as a guide for engagement, assessment, treatment planning, intervention, evaluation of service effectiveness, and policy development.

It will feature professors Jorge Ferreira, from Iscte, director of the bachelor's and doctoral programmes in Social Work, and Mark O. Bigler, LCSW (licensed clinical social worker), from Weber State University, College of Social Sciences and Education.
