The Master's Degree in Public Administration is aimed at senior managers, executives and technicians in public administration or companies, as well as graduates in areas such as public administration, management, political science, social work, economics, law, sociology or related fields who wish to pursue postgraduate studies and take on more demanding roles with greater responsibility in the public sector or in organisations that work with it.

Based on a multidisciplinary approach, the Master in Public Administration develops analytical and practical skills to understand, design, manage and implement policies and reforms in Public Administration, in increasingly digital, demanding, participatory and scrutinised contexts. Graduates are able to identify complex problems, formulate informed solutions, work with data and evidence, and communicate clearly with policy makers, technical experts and the general public in a context of multi-level and networked governance.

Director(s) message

The Master's in Public Administration seeks to provide an academic response to the demands of knowing and doing more and better by the state and administrative society in general, faced with processes of change that call into question theories and practices consolidated over time. The strong link to public administration, present in the genesis of the Master's Degree, has marked its evolution, creating the conditions for it to make a significant contribution to the ongoing processes of administrative modernization, particularly through the dissertations and project work produced within its scope. With an experienced and qualified teaching staff, attended by students from various Portuguese-speaking countries, we believe that the Master's is a good option for anyone who wants to have an informed and rigorous vision of the future of public administration.
