C.C. 2021-2023
The course is a very enriching learning opportunity in the field of education, in which learning is a special and beautiful process. MES promotes spaces for the exchange of experiences and content in a constructive and liberating way. It also promotes change and the construction of a better society, with dedicated, well-prepared and inclusive education professionals. It is a course that, upon completion, brings great pride, happiness and gratitude from the teachings and support it provides.
M.K. 2021-2023
During my master's degree in Education and Society at Iscte, I had an enriching experience, especially as someone in career transition, beginning my studies in the humanities and education. The course provided a good introduction to the field, as well as ensuring the development of skills and the use of important tools for those working in the sector. I would highlight the highly qualified teaching staff and the course units, which addressed topics relevant to the challenges of education today.
A.A. 2018-2020
This course is very important because it addresses interdisciplinarity and explores the relationships between education and social, cultural, political, and economic dynamics. It also combines a solid theoretical foundation with critical analyses of contemporary issues such as inclusion, equity, and sustainability, preparing students to work as researchers, managers, educators, and policymakers. In addition, it promotes reflection on educational practices and their implications for social transformation, with a focus on research, innovation, and community impact. It is ideal for those who seek to understand and influence educational processes in diverse and challenging contexts. In my opinion, the professors in the Master's programme in Education and Society are, in general, highly qualified and many are committed to critical reflection and innovation, encouraging independent thinking among students.
Q.Y. 2022-2024
I think this course was very rewarding for me. I was able to learn more and work with great teachers and classmates. It was a good foundation for developing my career and academic skills.
C.N. 2021-2023
I loved the course, it exceeded my expectations. It is a very accessible course for people who have not studied social sciences and want to develop their career in education, based on the social contexts and dimensions that surround us and where we integrate. It encourages reflection and debate among peers, which helps develop critical thinking and active listening skills, in addition to other skills acquired throughout one's academic, personal and professional life. The course allowed me to directly integrate the knowledge I gained into the projects I develop professionally.
