The MSc in Studies of Environment and Sustainability prepares students to work professionally as consultants, project coordinators, researchers and in other roles within:

- Public Institutes with a national scope focused on environmental public policy (the Portuguese Environment Agency; the Transportation Institute; the Institute for the Conversation of Nature and Forests);

- Local Government Authorities, Offices and Institutes (e.g. those connected to Agenda Local 21);

- Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) associated with the Environment and Development

- Businesses and departments working in these areas (i.e. those connected to renewal energy or waste management);

- International organizations and agencies connected to the Environment and Development
