Este projeto de investigação pretende analisar de que forma as representações sociais de género e sexualidade têm evoluído na sociedade portuguesa, utilizando para tal uma perspetiva geracional na análise. Ainda se analisam essas representações sociais segundo o sexo, o habitat e classe social. Assim, inquiriu-se pessoas provenientes de Lisboa e Portalegre, desde jovens a idosos, sejam homens ou mulheres e não fazendo restrições em termos de classe social.
Pretende-se situar as representações sociais dos inquiridos no eixo tradicional-moderno. Avaliando de que forma os fatores referidos influenciam essas representações, que podem evidenciar mais diferencialismo ou igualitarismo entre homens e mulheres, nas suas dimensões da conjugalidade e parentalidade e, ainda, nas dimensões do sexo e da masculinidade/feminilidade.

This research project aims to analyse how social representations of gender and sexuality have evolved in Portuguese society, using a generational perspective in this analysis. These social representations are analysed according to sex, habitat and social class. Were also inquired people from Lisbon and Portalegre, from the young to the elderly, whether men or women without making restrictions in terms of social class.
It is intended to place the answers on a social representation in a traditional-modern axis. Assessing how the factors mentioned influence these representations, which may show more differentialism or egalitarianism between men and women, in their dimensions of conjugality and parenting, as well as in the dimensions of sex and masculinity/femininity.
