O presente trabalho centra-se na integração do Pólo Universitário do
Alto da Ajuda com o Parque Florestal de Monsanto, através do restabelecimento
do Vale do Rio Seco, estrutura natural que atravessa o território
desde Monsanto até ao Rio Tejo. A proposta procura rearticular a
relação entre Campus, cidade e parque, atualmente fragmentada.
O projeto redesenha a forma de viver o Pólo Universitário, aproximando
o vale das faculdades, definindo percursos que conectam as diferentes
faculdades ao vale, criando novas frentes que valorizam o espaço públi-
co e a relação com a paisagem. Pretende estabelecer um diálogo claro
entre universidade e cidade, fortalecendo a identidade do Pólo, promo-
vendo a vivência académica e melhorando a integração com a envolvente
urbana.
A intervenção transforma o Pólo Universitário do Alto da Ajuda de um
conjunto fragmentado numa estrutura coerente e articulada, que valoriza
o território e a relação com o Parque Florestal de Monsanto.

This work focuses on integrating the Alto da Ajuda campus with
Monsanto Forest Park through the restoration of the Rio Seco
Valley, a natural structure that crosses the territory from Monsanto
to the Tejo River. The proposal seeks to rearticulate the relationship
between the Campus, the city, and the park, which is currently
fragmented.
The project redefines how the campus is experienced, bringing the
valley closer to the faculties, creating pathways that connect the
different faculties to the valley, and establishing new fronts that
enhance public space and the relationship with the landscape. It
aims to establish a clear dialogue between the university and the
city, strengthening the identity of the campus, promoting academic
life, and improving integration with the surrounding urban area.
The intervention transforms the Alto da Ajuda campus from a
fragmented ensemble into a coherent and articulated structure
that values the territory and its connection with Monsanto Forest
Park.
