Este projeto propõe o planeamento para a implementação do projeto transmedia “Entre Muros e
Ruas”, dedicado à promoção de artistas da região de Sintra e ao fomento do diálogo entre as
artes e a comunidade local. Parte da identificação da sub-representação e visibilidade
insuficientes das práticas artísticas nos subúrbios de Sintra, um território marcado tanto pela
diversidade cultural, como pela exclusão social e estigmatização. A operacionalização do
projeto baseia-se na conceção de um documentário expandido em formato transmedia, tirando
partido de múltiplas plataformas (documentário audiovisual, website interativo, redes sociais
online, aplicação móvel com mapa interativo e eventos presenciais) com o objetivo de combinar
narrativa, tecnologia e envolvimento das comunidades. O projeto visa não só documentar
experiências culturais, mas também ativar o tecido artístico local, promovendo extensões que
expandem e aprofundam a narrativa para além do ecrã. Ao fazê-lo, pretende contribuir para a
construção de uma memória coletiva mais inclusiva e posicionamento da arte como um
instrumento de transformação social e de resistência a discursos hegemónicos.

This project proposes the planning for the implementation of the transmedia project “Entre
Muros e Ruas” (Between Walls and Streets), dedicated to promoting artists from the Sintra
region and fostering dialogue between the arts and the local community. It stems from the
identification of the underrepresentation and insufficient visibility of artistic practices in the
suburbs of Sintra, a territory marked by both cultural diversity and social exclusion and
stigmatization. The project's operationalization is based on the design of an expanded
documentary in transmedia format, taking advantage of multiple platforms (audiovisual
documentary, interactive website, online social networks, mobile application with interactive
map and in-person events) with the aim of combining narrative, technology and community
involvement. The project aims not only to document cultural experiences, but also to activate
the local artistic fabric, promoting extensions that expand and deepen the narrative beyond the
screen. In doing so, it aims to contribute to the construction of a more inclusive collective
memory and to position art as an instrument of social transformation and resistance to
hegemonic discourses.
