Este trabalho parte da ambição de estabelecer um percurso metodológico para a análise de fotografias de família salvaguardadas durante gerações para refletir sobre quais questões podem guiar a organização das imagens e que tipo de critérios podem ser considerados. O estudo envolveu a caracterização das fotografias em articulação com o contexto histórico, social e cultural em que foram produzidas. A investigação também contemplou a criação de séries de fotografias a partir do conjunto original, com o intuito de explorar diferentes perspetivas e narrativas. Essas séries foram construídas para permitir uma reinterpretação artística e cultural do material original.

This work stems from the ambition to establish a methodological framework for the analysis of family photographs preserved over generations, to reflect on what questions can guide the organization of these images and what criteria can be considered. The study involved the characterization of the photographs in conjunction with the historical, social, and cultural context in which they were produced. The research also encompassed the creation of series of photographs derived from the original collection, with the aim of exploring different perspectives and narratives. These series were constructed to allow for an artistic and cultural reinterpretation of the original material.
