O presente trabalho apresenta uma reflexão sobre o espaço da
cozinha no século XXI. Para tal esta investigação abrange a análise
de cozinhas desde o período pré-histórico até à contemporaneidade,
focando-se no estudo de um conjunto de cozinhas
projetadas e construídas no século XXI por arquitetos premiados
com o prémio Pritzker. Este trabalho tem como objetivo principal
a elaboração de uma base teórica atualizada - incluindo agora o
novo milénio - que possibilitará aos arquitetos contemporâneos
a oportunidade de repensar a cozinha do futuro. O seu interesse
prende-se com a análise de novas cozinhas e a justaposição da
mesma com análises históricas, oferecendo uma nova perspetiva
no estudo da cozinha.

The present work presents a reflection of the kitchen space in
the 21st century. To this end, this research covers the analysis of
kitchens from the prehistoric period to the present day, focusing
on the study of a set of kitchens designed and built in the 21st
century by architects awarded the Pritzker Prize. This work has
as its main objective the elaboration of an updated theoretical
basis - now including the new millennium - that will give contemporary
architects the opportunity to rethink the kitchen of
the future. Its interest lies in the analysis of new cuisines and the
juxtaposition of it with historical analyses, offering a new perspective
on the study of cuisine.
